Gray Maynard Vs TJ Grant To Decide Next Lightweight Contender

UFC President Dana White put to rest any rumblings of a possible rematch between Defending Lightweight Champion Benson Henderson and Gilbert Melendez by announcing the next number one contender match up. Gray Maynard and T.J. Grant will meet on the main card at UFC 160: Velasquez Vs Bigfoot II, and the winner will get the next crack at Benson Henderson’s lightweight strap.

UFC 160: Velasquez Vs Bigfoot II takes place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on May 25. The card will be headlined by a heavyweight title fight between current Champion Cain Velasquez and Antonio ‘Bigfoot’ Silva. The two fought as potential contenders at UFC 146, but it was Velasquez who won the fight via technical knockout in the second round.
