Masvidal (23-7) is 3-1 in his last four outings, most recently dominating Nate Wilcox en route to a unanimous decision victory. The sole loss suffered by the ATT product came at the hands of Strikeforce Lightweight Champion Gilbert Melendez in December. “Gamebred’s” Strikeforce run has seen him take additional victories over former Elite XC Lightweight Champion K.J. Noons and highly touted prospect Billy Evangelista.
Green (19-5) is riding a four-fight win-streak inside the promotion, not having suffered a loss since his debut against Gesias Cavalcante in July of last year. The Californian most recently posted a lopsided unanimous decision against Matt Ricehouse last month. “King” finally finds himself in the position to throw his name the hat for a shot at Gilbert Melendez’ title.
