Saturday's UFC on Fuel 8 broadcast from Japan blew away the ratings record for a UFC event on the network. According to Kevin Iole on Twitter, Saturday's live broadcast drew an average of 485,000 viewers, by far the best for a UFC event on the network.
UFC on Fuel 8 most-watched show in network history. Did 485k viewers, approx twice previous high. Post-fight show even did 219k viewers! MTK

Don't have all numbers yet for UFC on Fuel 8 but it did 282k viewers in males 18-49. That is more viewers than any previous UFC show on Fuel

Saturday's broadcast was headlined by the incredibly exciting back and forth brawl between Wanderlei Silva and Brian Stann, ending with Silva knocking out Stann in the second round. It also featured Mark Hunt's brutal third round stoppage of Stefan Struve in the night's co-main event.
Penick's Analysis: That's a great number for a network which doesn't have great access in the U.S., and makes it the most watched program in the network's history as well. Of course, this comes as Fox is readying to unveil their Fox Sports 1 and Fox Sports 2 networks, taking over for SPEED and Fuel. That means any continued progress being made with brand recognition will be set back once again as the UFC will need to get people to tune into some new networks. Still, this is a very positive number for the UFC.
