Matt Riddle making Legacy FC debut against Artenas Young in July

ARTENAS YOUNG - First First AthleticsWelterweight Matt Riddle is officially ready to start the next phase of his career after being released by the UFC, receiving an opponent and date for his debut under the Legacy FC banner. Riddle, who trains in Texas, signed with the Lone Star State’s premier promotion shortly after being popped for pot use twice in less than a year and subsequently axed.

According to an announcement on Inside MMA, Riddle will see action against Artenas Young at Legacy FC 21. The event is scheduled to unfold on July 19 in Houston.

Riddle holds a 7-3 mark in his career though he also has a pair of No Contests on his record involving wins being overturned due to his previously mentioned issues with marijuana. All of his past bouts have taken place inside the Octagon including victories over of Dan Cramer and DaMarques Johnson.

The 9-5 Young is coming off the momentum of an incredible four-second knockout last October. The victory was his fourth by way of TKO.
