The list of medical suspensions stemming from last weekend’s lineup at UFC 158 in Montreal has surfaced and, thankfully, all of the evening’s participants appear to have escaped the event without suffering any serious injuries. In fact, all but one of the fighters will be ready to return in less than two months.
According to a report from MMAJunkie citing Quebec’s athletic commission, Nate Marquardt will need to take sixty days off before hoping to rebound from his knockout loss to Jake Ellenberger. No specific reason was listed for the extended absence though it likely had something to do with the brutal nature of Ellenberger’s first-frame finish.
Meanwhile, headliners Nick Diaz and Georges St-Pierre were each given 28-day tags, while their co-headlining counterparts Carlos Condit/Johny Hendricks received 14 day breaks.
