Jon Anik out of the booth for UFC on Fuel 9 fights

There will be a switch in the broadcast booth at UFC on Fuel 9, as Mike Goldberg will be stepping in for Jon Anik and commentate the card with Kenny Florian. Historically, Goldberg does work on PPV events with Joe Rogan, while Anik-Florian do the Fuel TV/FX cards. However, Anik will be sitting this one out to stay at home with his family.

He recently told Fighters.com about being in six different countries in five months and the desire to spend some time with his wife as she prepares to give birth to a daughter.

“Traveling has been crazy. It was China in November, Australia in December, Brazil in January, England in February and we just did Japan in March, and my wife is due with our second daughter in mid-April so ‘Goldie’ is going to step in for me in Sweden,” explained Anik, confirming he’d be back on the microphone a week later at the Ultimate Fighter 17 Finale.
