Heavyweight Josh Barnett has signed a multi-fight deal with the UFC and will once again be fighting in the octagon. As of right now, there is no announcement from the UFC as to when he will be back in the cage, or who he will be fighting against. Barnett had a 4-1 record in the UFC from 2000-2002 that included a win over Randy Couture that secured him the Heavyweight Championship strap. Months later it was learned that Barnett had tested positive for PEDs and was stripped of the belt, and left the promotion.
MMAJunkie was the first to report the story. Stay tuned to Fighters.com for more information on Barnett’s future as it unfolds.
