Zahabi: GSP Has Never Been This Angry

By <a href="mailto:howie@mmanews.com">Chris Howie</a> <Br>
MMANEWS.COM Staff Writer<Br><Br>

Head trainer for Georges St. Pierre, Firas Zahabi, spoke to MMAJunkie.com this week about his star students anger heading into this weekend's UFC 158 main event with Nick Diaz and explained why GSP took so much offense to Diaz comments and smack talk:<Br><Br>

Zahabi on how angry GSP is: "I think I've never seen Georges this angry. Maybe he doesn't realize it as much, but he's been insulted many times – worse, even. But I think what pissed off Georges the most is he was insulted while he was sidelined. Nobody else insulted him except Nick Diaz when he was sidelined. He said, 'You're faking. Where are you? Don't be scared,' insinuating that he was lying about his injury. He had a serious injury, and I think Georges carried that with him a long time. After his operation, Georges was in a lot of pain, and he had guys on his list – and Nick Diaz was on top of it."<Br><Br>

Zahabi on if GSP can control his anger in the fight: "He's the more technical fighter and can keep it a technical match. Will it turn into a street fight? We're going to find out Saturday night. I think he's very mature as a fighter in terms of controlling his temperament. But we've never been in this situation. So I don't want to say there's no way he's going to street fight, and then it turns into a street fight. I don't know. This is a unique situation. Nobody's ever gotten under Georges' skin this personally."<Br><Br>

My Favorite Fight: Miesha Tate on Pettis/Bendo

The Benson Henderson and Anthony "Showtime" Pettis fight was a great fight. It wasn't like "This guy won this round," or "This guy won this round." It was more, "I'm in awe of what these two are doing right now and I'm going to try and be like them." click here to watch the fight free

I was just watching it on TV and I remember thinking what an amazing pace both of them are putting on. Anthony does the most incredible unorthodox things, and Benson is such a trooper and he never gets tired.

I always find myself rooting for Benson because he's actually from my hometown. He's not a cocky guy. He's very grounded everywhere - mentally, physically, and spiritually. In that essence, I really look up to him.

Every fight that Benson puts on is always a jaw-dropping performance. I never really get used to it: I know what to expect, but he's always one step further or more advanced than he was last time. He seems to never get tired and seems impossible to finish. He's also an incredible scrambler.

One of the things I enjoy about Ben is that whether he is winning or losing, you can never tell. He never looks beaten, he never concedes to anything, he's just go-go-go. He can be in the worst position, but somehow he can manage to turn it around. He's an amazing athlete.

No matter what you do, he's still going to be coming for the win and he's still having fun while doing it. That's what it is supposed to be about.

[Pettis] is the unpredictable one. You never know what angle he is going to come at, so you have to be prepared for everything. He finishes a lot of people by catching them off guard. There's nothing cookie cutter about him. I admire that as well.

Being able to improvise in a fight when the pressure is on is not easy. A lot of people revert to what they're comfortable with -- you see someone get hit and then they go for a takedown because they're getting beat, but Anthony is not like that. It doesn't matter what you're doing, he's still thinking of some way to trick you or con you into thinking he's doing one thing and then head kick you and you're knocked out.

When I watch a fight that inspires me, it makes me become better. I don't think either one of them could have done more than what they did. I thought it was just an awesome performance and I think that's how everyone should strive to fight at this level.

I came down to the MMA Lab [Henderson's team] and I'm in Phoenix now. We do hard MMA sparring on Saturday, which is really cool because it mimics the fight. Two people spar at a time and everyone else sits around the cage and watches. Certain people will try to coach and give advice. My boyfriend [UFC fighter] Bryan Caraway is here, [BJJ/MMA coach] John Crouch is here and Benson is also yelling things to do while I'm in there.

I think every fighter wants to finish a fight as fast as they can, but with a top level competitor, it's really tough to do. It's hard to impose your will for 25 minutes and keep your physical in check and keep your emotions in check. As a fighter I really respect the people who can put on really amazing fights the fans appreciate, the fighters appreciate, the media appreciates, everyone appreciates. To me, that's the real accomplishment.

UFC on Fuel 9's Gegard Mousasi says retirement plan's been pushed back, but wants to finish career in the UFC

UFC_on_Fuel_TV_wide_logo_23.jpg

By: Jamie Penick, MMATorch Editor-in-Chief

Gegard Mousasi has had a lot of success throughout his ten year run in mixed martial arts, winning titles in Japan with DREAM and in the U.S. with Strikeforce. In less than two weeks, he makes his debut in the UFC, and hopes to make yet a run towards the top.

However, that run will come with a slight change in his overall career plan. The 27-year-old has said in the past he hoped to reach his goals and retire by the age of 30. But a title loss in Strikeforce, and a year long layoff due to injury has pushed that timetable back, and he now expects to compete until he's 35.

"I thought 30 would be enough, but I don't think it's going to be," Mousasi said in an interview with MMAJunkie.com. "[The injury layoff] was difficult because you have to postpone your goals. You can't do anything; you're just waiting. It's not up to you. It's difficult, but what can you do? That's life."

Now, though, he's ready to make an impact in his UFC debut, a fight with Alexander Gustafsson on the Swede's home turf in Stockholm at UFC on Fuel 9. It's a role he's relishing, because he said he feels no pressure coming in.

"I'm the underdog, but I don't care," Mousasi said. "It's a fight. Of course, he's fought a lot more in the UFC, so he's the favorite. I understand that. I hope [they are overlooking me]. They don't expect anything for me, so I cannot disappoint anybody.

"I like this position much better. I don't have any pressure… This is a big opportunity for me fighting a guy like Gustafsson. I want to take full advantage of that. I always thought I would finish my career in the UFC, and that's the plan."

Penick's Analysis: This is a very big spot for Mousasi to come into. If he can pull off an upset against Gustafsson, he can essentially move into the role Gustafsson was taking over as a potential title challenger. Given the pieces currently moving, the UFC Light Heavyweight Title could be on hold for a fight if Jon Jones fights Anderson Silva in a superfight this fall, so Mousasi can get himself in against Lyoto Machida later this year more than likely if he can defeat Gustafsson. That's an opportunity he absolutely wants to take advantage of, and if he pulls it off, that will be a tremendous start to his UFC run.

Hot or not: Who is making moves in MMA?

Who had a great week in MMA? Who just wants this week to be over so they can go home and take a bubble bath? Read up on Cagewriter's hot and not list.

HOT: Women's MMA — Riding a wave started by Ronda Rousey's championship win over Liz Carmouche, female fighters are now in the spotlight. The Rousey-Carmouche result made it all over television, and print and internet press. This opened the door for other fighters to get some press, like this Canadian piece on women's MMA.

HOT: Jose Aldo — The featherweight champion didn't like that he was fighting Anthony Pettis. He spoke up about it, ticked off UFC president Dana White, but then got his demand. If he wins, he'll get to jump up to lightweight for a chance at that belt. Pretty good tantrum, huh?

NOT: Matt Riddle — Getting in trouble with the UFC over using a banned substance is never good, regardless of reasoning or doctor's approval. Doing it twice in a row when the promotion is looking to trim 100 fighters from its roster? It means Riddle is looking for a job.

HOT: South Dakota — Legislators in the Mount Rushmore State -- yes, that's its nickname -- saw through misguided comments comparing MMA to child porn and voted to regulate MMA. It opens the door for more safety in fights in their fights.

NOT: Backwards thinking on MMA — Between the South Dakotan government officials being soundly dismissed and an editorial in the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel being laughed off, it appears that MMA is moving past the days where ignorant people made comments about a sport they didn't understand.

Still taking a temperature: Brian Stann and Wanderlei Silva — Both men are looking to rebound off of losses as they face off at UFC on Fuel 8 in Japan on Saturday. Which one will end up on the hot list next week?

In 1989, the author along with several other paranormal researchers investigated a woman's claims that her small bungalow was haunted by two ghosts: the apparition of a corpse-like old man and a disembodied head that manifested in her attic. Before long, the researchers round themselves under attack by unknown forces culminating in the attempted hanging of photographer Jeff Wheatcraft. Besides documenting various poltergeist activities such as: human blood plasma, fairy lights and moving objects, the ghosthunters were vastly disturbed to find out that they the hunters are now the hunted!

George Roop fights Brian Bowles at UFC 160

http://www.bloodyelbow.com/2013/3/28...bowles-ufc-160

Quote:

Former WEC bantamweight champion Brian Bowles last fought in November 2011, losing to Urijah Faber by submission. Bowles was out of action for all of last year, and wasn't even booked for any fights. Having neared Abe Vigoda levels of "Is he still alive?", UFC matchmaker Sean Shelby dusted off the cobwebs and pitted Bowles against George Roop for UFC 160. MMA Junkie confirmed the bout earlier this morning.

Bowles (10-2) famously took the WEC title away from Miguel Torres in August 2009, but he lost his only defense against Dominick Cruz after suffering a broken hand. He didn't fight again in the WEC, but when he entered the UFC he notched consecutive wins over Damacio Page and Takeya Mizugaki. The Faber defeat marked the first time Bowles had ever been finished.

Roop (13-9-1) recently won his bantamweight return against Reuben Duran at UFC 158, bringing his overall record at 135 lbs to 1-1. The TUF 8 alum previously went 1-3 (all at featherweight) in his UFC return. The career highlight for Roop is a head kick KO of Chan Sung Jung at WEC 51.
UFC 160: Velasquez vs. Silva II is on May 25th in Las Vegas, Nevada. It is likely that this fight will wind up on the preliminary card.
Damn Brian Bowles is still going?!! Always wondered what happened to that guy, almost drafted him on my FFL but thought he'd quietly retired!

Bowles via whatever the hell he wants! Great to see him back! :D

Brad Pickett: “My job is just to keep winning.”

BradPickett_Headshot

UFC Bantamweight Brad Pickett is looking  to get back in the win column when he climbs into the Octagon next Saturday night at UFC On Fuel TV 9: Gustafsson Vs Mousasi. Pickett is coming off of a split decision loss to Eddie Wineland at UFC 155, and is now set to face Mike Easton on the main card in the UFC’s second trip to Sweden. Picket recently broke down his opponent, and talked all about being the runner up for multiple title shots.

He told Sherdog:

“He’s very athletic and fast. He’s aggressive, but so am I. I tend to think I’m a bit more aggressive than he is. I think I have more punching power than he does and I don’t really back up in a fight. It will be interesting to see who controls the center of the cage.”

“If I win this fight, I go in one direction. If I lose this fight, I go in a different direction. I’m not really looking past Mike Easton. I’ve been in this boat so many times. When I fought Scott Jorgensen in the WEC and I lost the decision there, he went on and got a title shot. Then I fought Renan Barao. He beat me and he went on to get a title shot. Then I fought Eddie Wineland, and now he’s got a title shot. I seem to be there and thereabouts.”

“Even if I beat Mike Easton, I’m not right back in the picture. If I beat him in devastating fashion, maybe, but I need to beat him, beat him well and then maybe one other fight and then I’ll be back there. But I’m not looking at that too much. Winning always puts me in a good position. My job is just to keep winning.”

Dana White Unsure About Having Herschel Walker In UFC

WSOF President Says No Titles Until End of the Year

WSOF

As soon as the announcers at World Series of Fighting 2 announced that Josh Burkman defeated Aaron Simpson via knockout he began to talk about the WSOF welterweight title picture. Burkman said he didn’t think incoming UFC veteran Jon Fitch deserved an immediate shot at the title and that he should have to win a fight before getting a crack at the belt. This sparked debate among  MMA fans and pundits about who should be fighting for the title. The point that is staring everyone in the face is that there is no WSOF titles in any weight division, and all the chatter prompted WSOF President Ray Sefo to clear up all the guess work going on.

Sefo Tweeted:

There is a lot of talk about @MMAWorldSeries titles, to clear things up WSOF will not be doing any title fights till the end of 2013

UFC releases Josh Neer, Caros Fodor, Brock Jardine, and Jon Manley

http://www.bloodyelbow.com/2013/3/28...anley-mma-news

Quote:

The UFC is downsizing their roster significantly, and 4 losers from UFC 157 were given the pink slip. Josh Neer, Caros Fodor, Jon Manley, and Brock Jardine were all sent packing (per MMA Opinion), and their profiles no longer appear on the UFC's website.

Neer (33-13-1) has now been cut 4 different times by the promotion. His latest release came after a 3 fight losing streak, completed with a decision defeat to Court McGee. it'd be hard to fathom the UFC brass bringing Josh back for a 5th time.

Fodor (7-3) lost a split decision to Sam Stout on the evening's preliminary card. He is the first fighter from the Strikeforce roster absorption to be cut after just one bout.
Jardine (9-3) went 0-2 in his UFC run, losing to Rick Story and then Kenny Robertson.
Lastly, Manley (7-2) was bounced following his loss to fellow TUF 16 member Neil Magny. There are only 3 fighters from this season of TUF still in the UFC (Magny, Colton Smith, and Mike Ricci).

Anton Kuivanen, who also fought at UFC 157 and lost, was released earlier this month.
And the cuts just keep coming.

All totally justifiable, can't believe Josh Neer had that many second chances with Zuffa.

Rashad Evans says his "back is against the wall" against Dan Henderson at UFC 161

EvansRashad_Wide_12.png

By: Jamie Penick, MMATorch Editor-in-Chief

"This is the type of fight that keeps you up at night, because you want to do well. My back is against the wall, and this is when I perform at my best. In the fight business, you're only as good as your next fight. If you lose two or three then you're done. My manager Bill Robinson always says, 'You're either one fight away from getting a title shot and becoming champion or you're two losses away from being cut from UFC.'"

-Rashad Evans discusses what's on the line for him in his UFC 161 bout against Dan Henderson (via ESPN UK).

Penick's Analysis: Though three straight losses would be a bad thing for Evans, especially if he gives another performance like he did against Antonio Rogerio Nogueira, I honestly don't believe he's close to being cut anytime soon. He's a former champion, he's drawn well on pay-per-view for the UFC for the last several years, and the names he's lost to shouldn't facilitate his release. Still, three straight losses is still three straight losses, and even the most untouchable of fighters gets brought down to earth in that situation. Evans can't risk it, so he needs to be on his game come this June in Winnipeg.

The five biggest moments from ‘The Ultimate Fighter’

Though this season of "The Ultimate Fighter" is much improved on previous seasons, it also feels like we're slowly ambling towards the finale in April. What were the biggest moments of Tuesday night's episode?

Soooo much gossiping — We've hit the point in the season where the conversations between fighters resemble a 7th grade lunch table. "Did you hear what he said about the guy with the thing?" They don't get television, internet access, magazines, newspapers, or contact with the outside world. They have nothing to talk about except for what goes on in the house or at training camp.

Hooters — See above. Chael Sonnen took his fighters on a trip to Hooters, and it's quite obvious that they haven't spent time with many women in weeks. Gilbert Smith's shirt came off. For some reason, Uriah Hall doesn't join in with his teammates revelry, but it sure looks like some heavy editing to advance the "No one likes Uriah" storyline.

Chael's motivational speech — "You guys are awesome." Am I the only one who wants to run through a wall after Sonnen does his best Eric Taylor and motivates his team? This speech was all about empowering his athletes to believe they are the best. If that's not the start of a heartwarming drama, I don't know what is.

Josh Samman's health — Before his big win last week, Samman talked about the health problems he's faced with blood clots in his legs. When his leg was in pain during this week's episode, he was worried that the clots were back. A trip to the doctor quelled his fears, as there were no clots.

Clint Hester (Team Jones) vs. Jimmy Quinlan (Team Sonnen) — In the first round, Quinlan got the takedowns while Hester landed damaging shots. Quinlan got Hester down early in the second, took his back, and then forced a quick tap with a rear naked choke. With that, Jones' no. 1 pick was out of the tournament.

Need something to look forward to? The coaches challenge is next week and it apparently involves bulldozers.

After successful surgery, mess in Macau, David Mitchell primed for UFC victory

More than two years after dropping his UFC debut, things haven't exactly gone David Mitchell's way.

Injuries, surgery and rehabilitation have left Mitchell out of action for more than 15 months - a streak he had hoped to end earlier this month.

Left without an opponent and some 7,000 miles from home, Mitchell admits it was a frustrating plight. Now he's aiming for a January return, and he's anxious to show the world what he can do when fighting at full strength.

FBI attempts to explain UFO memo in vault

The Federal Bureau of Investigation has broken its silence on the most popular file in its digital vault.

The one-page memo, dated March 22, 1950, was addressed to FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover from Guy Hottel, then head of the FBI's Washington, D.C., field office. It relayed some information from an informant.

The subject:

FLYING SAUCERS
INFORMATION CONCERNING

"An investigator for the Air Force stated that three so-called flying saucers had been recovered in New Mexico," Hottel writes. "They were described as being circular in shape with raised centers, approximately 50 feet in diameter. Each one was occupied by three bodies of human shape but only 3 feet tall, dressed in metallic cloth of a very fine texture. Each body was bandaged in a manner similar to the blackout suits used by speed fliers and test pilots.”

No further evaluation was attempted, Hottel reports.

The file, released in April 2011 under the Freedom of Information Act, has been viewed nearly a million times, the FBI said, in part because media outlets "erroneously reported that the FBI had posted proof of a UFO crash at Roswell, New Mexico [in 1947] and the recovery of wreckage and alien corpses."

"A bizarre memo that appears to prove that aliens did land in New Mexico prior to 1950 has been published by the FBI," the Daily Mail declared in 2011.

"The Hottel memo does not prove the existence of UFOs," the bureau said in a blog post on its website this week. "It is simply a second- or third-hand claim that we never investigated."

Besides, the FBI notes, the Hottel memo is dated nearly three years after the infamous events in Roswell in July 1947.

"There is no reason to believe the two are connected," the bureau said:

The FBI has only occasionally been involved in investigating reports of UFOs and extraterrestrials. For a few years after the Roswell incident, Director Hoover did order his agents—the request of the Air Force—verify any UFO sightings. That practice ended in July 1950, four months after the Hottel memo, suggesting that our Washington Field Office didn't think enough of that flying saucer story to look into it.

Diaz to GSP "I think I can't beat cha"

Holy crap. How delusional is this guy?

He actually looks at the camera with a straight face, pumps his chest and acts like some tough guy and says to GSP - "I want a Rematch, I think I can beat cha"?

Dude, get a small grip on reality. Rematches are only given when the loser demonstrated a signifigant ability to beat the title holder, but lost a close decision, lost at the last second by a lucky punch or submission, or lost when most people think he won.

Dude, Diaz, you got totally dominated for 5 rounds. You had no answer for what GSP Brought, you could not stop it, as much as I wish you could, but like all others before you, they knew what GSP ws going to do, but still couldn't stop it.

For you to ask for a rematch, after the beating you took, is a total joke.

T.J. Dillashaw steps in for injured Francisco Rivera, meets Hugo Viana at UFC on FOX 7

http://www.mmafighting.com/2013/3/22...ancisco-rivera

Bantamweight prospect T.J. Dillashaw (7-1) became the third UFC 158 victor to join the card of UFC on FOX 7 as an injury fill-in, replacing the sidelined Francisco Rivera (9-2) against Hugo Viana (7-0) on the night's preliminary card.

UFC officials announced the change on Friday. Previously, Darren Elkins replaced Clay Guida and Jordan Mein replaced Dan Hardy on the spring fight card.

UFC on FOX 7 takes place April 20 at HP Pavilion in San Jose, CA. A lightweight title unification bout pitting UFC champion Ben Henderson against Strikeforce champion Gilbert Melendez headlines the event.

Dillashaw, a finalist on TUF 14, has rolled to three straight victories since losing to John Dodson in the show's finale. The 27-year-old Team Alpha Male product edged Walel Watson via decision, before submitting Vaughan Lee and most recently knocking out Issei Tamura.

Meanwhile, the undefeated Viana is a perfect 2-0 since losing to Rony Bezerra in an exhibition match for the semi-finals of The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil. Viana edged TUF: Brazil castmate John Teixeira then knocked out Reuben Duran last December in his bantamweight debut.

Jon Anik out of the booth for UFC on Fuel 9 fights

Mike Goldberg - UFCThere will be a switch in the broadcast booth at UFC on Fuel 9, as Mike Goldberg will be stepping in for Jon Anik and commentate the card with Kenny Florian. Historically, Goldberg does work on PPV events with Joe Rogan, while Anik-Florian do the Fuel TV/FX cards. However, Anik will be sitting this one out to stay at home with his family.

He recently told Fighters.com about being in six different countries in five months and the desire to spend some time with his wife as she prepares to give birth to a daughter.

“Traveling has been crazy. It was China in November, Australia in December, Brazil in January, England in February and we just did Japan in March, and my wife is due with our second daughter in mid-April so ‘Goldie’ is going to step in for me in Sweden,” explained Anik, confirming he’d be back on the microphone a week later at the Ultimate Fighter 17 Finale.

What you missed: Mark Hunt-Junior dos Santos on for UFC 160 and health updates

Here's what you missed over the weekend in MMA if you were wrapped up in a baseball fight with actual punches thrown or a dunk that may have killed a guy (metaphorically speaking.)

-- Remember that Mark Hunt — Junior dos Santos bout that UFC president Dana White said isn't happening? Now it is. MMA Fighting reports the two will meet at UFC 160 in May. Dos Santos was supposed to fight Alistair Overeem on that weekend, but an injury took Overeem out of the bout.

This will be dos Santos' first fight since losing the UFC heavyweight belt to Cain Velasquez. Hunt is currently riding a four-fight winning streak, with the most recent win coming over Stefan Struve on March 3.

-- UFC flyweight champ Demetrious Johnson had successful surgery over the weekend to repair a torn labrum. The injury forced him out of his April 13 title defense. Johnson will find out later this week how long his rehab should last.

-- Lightweight Joe Lauzon's last bout was a memorable loss to Jim Miller at UFC 155. Damage from that fight caused considerable scar tissue in Lauzon's face. He is in (kinda gross) treatment to break the scar tissue up and hopes to return to action this summer.

Melvin Guillard Facing Potential Jail Time on Assault Charges

Melvin-Guillard -MMAWeekly

It’s been a rough few days for UFC lightweight Melvin Guillard’s reputation after the 29-year old fighter seemed to be getting his career back on track with an announced move back to Greg Jackson’s camp. However, Guillard’s return was stymied after a report surfaced stating his former teammates had voted and said he wasn’t wanted back.

Adding to Guillard’s current woes, MMAJunkie has since revealed “The Young Assassin” is facing two assault charges from 2010. No details were provided other than to say they were based on separate incidents.

Guillard is scheduled to see the inside of a courtroom next month to face the allegations. If found guilty, he could spend up to six months in jail for each count and also face fines/probation attached to the matter.

Diaz also went on to say that despite retirement talk he wants a rematch.<br><br>

"I'm trying to get out of this gig, but I would love a rematch. I think I could beat you. I really do, I think I could beat him. I think I could stop the takedowns for the first two rounds and get to fight my whole fight and I think I could beat you."<Br><br>

"You can say, I don't want to retire if I get a rematch, but, if I don't get a rematch, who am I going to fight? I'm not going to fight any of these guys out there. They came in after me... Matt Riddle cut from the UFC after second positive test for marijuana

Last week, Matt Riddle talked about how he mended fences with UFC brass over his positive test for marijuana. This week? He tested positive again and lost his job. According to MMA Junkie, Riddle tested positive for marijuana after his UFC on Fuel 7 bout with Che Mills, and was then cut from the UFC. Riddle also tested positive at UFC 149.

While it's true that Riddle has a medical marijuana card in Nevada, he knew full well that the UFC tested for the drug. Whether that drug should be banned is not the point. It is, Riddle knows it's banned, and Riddle broke the rules.

If your boss banned red shirts for no reason at all and you were suspended for wearing your favorite red shirt to work, are you going to wear it again? Yes, you can talk about how your boss is crazy for banning red shirts and work to change his mind on red shirts, but you can't wear the shirt and expect to slide by.

It's also important for UFC fighters to walk the line these days as the promotion looks to trim their roster. UFC president Dana White recently noted that they have approximately 100 fighters to trim from their roster. Riddle made it too easy for them to pick his name.

UPDATE: The UFC released a statement on Riddle's release, which reads in full:

Matthew Riddle tested positive for marijuana metabolites following his bout at UFC on FUEL TV 7 in London, England on February 16, 2013. This is Riddle’s second failed drug test for marijuana within the past seven months. Riddle previously failed a post-fight drug test due to marijuana following his UFC 149 victory over Chris Clements.

As such, the UFC organization is exercising its right to terminate Riddle for breach of his obligations under his Promotional Agreement as well as the UFC Fighter Conduct Policy. The UFC organization has a strict, consistent policy against the use of any illegal and/or performance-enhancing drugs, stimulants or masking agents. The outcome of the bout against Che Mills was changed to a no contest and the results of the positive test will be reported to the official Association of Boxing Commissions MMA record-keeper.

Joachim Hansen is set to return to MMA for the first time in 18 months when he takes on Doo Won Seo at Road FC 11. The former DREAM and Shooto champion was last seen losing to Tatsuya Kawajiri in September 2011.
