In a night featuring a number of upsets and strange performances, Rashad Evans found himself out of the running for a fight with Anderson Silva when he dropped a dull decision to Antonio Rogerio Nogueira in the co-main event at UFC 156.

The 15-minute bout was a strange affair filled with tentative striking and little action overall, and ultimately it was Nogueira doing enough to take two out of three rounds. Evans seemed out of the fight mentally, and didn't have much intensity to bounce back as he was taking the brunt of the strikes.

The loss was a huge setback for the former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion, as he was in line to face Anderson Silva for the UFC Middleweight Championship if he could get past Nogueira. Instead, he takes a massive hit to his stock, while Nogueira didn't do a ton for himself in what was a minimally effective performance.

Perhaps the biggest winner out of the fight is middleweight Chris Weidman, who may finally get the booking against Silva that he's been hoping for since destroying Mark Munoz last July.
