Melvin Manhoef meeting Brock Larson at ONE FC 8

Asian promotion ONE FC is busy booking their April 5 event in Singapore, recently adding an interesting match-up of styles featuring two familiar faces from the MMA world. According to an official press release, hard-hitting Dutch kickboxer Melvin Manhoef will take on mat technician Brock Larson in middleweight action at ONE FC 8, joining other notable players on the lineup including the likes of Jens Pulver and Shinya Aoki.

The 36-year old Manhoef mentioned interest in signing with the UFC before calling it a career and will definitely have an opportunity to stake his claim if successful against Larson. “No Mercy” is already on a three-fight winning streak with a fifty-second finish of Denis Kang in his last outing. The strike-based stoppage improved his overall mark to 27-9-1 with 25 TKOs.

As deadly as Manhoef may be on his feet, Larson is equally apt on the ground with a 36-7 record featuring 26 tap-outs. He too has emerged with his hand raised in his last three tilts.
