"I want to get a title shot but whether that puts me in title contention, I don't know that's not up to me to decide that. If I'm to have any relevance in this division at the top end I have to beat Bigfoot [Silva]. Every fight I prepare like my last fight so it's very important to stay at the top level. The win over Bigfoot, securing a spot over him and moving forward to another fight - the most important thing to me is victory. He's number four in the world and I'm not even in the top 10 so it's a good opportunity for myself to headline is even better - I have to take advantage of it."
-UFC Fight Night 33 headliner Mark Hunt talks to Fox Sports Australia about what's on the line in his main event fight with Bigfoot Silva this week.
Penick's Analysis: Both fighters absolutely need this fight to keep themselves relevant in the heavyweight title picture. Bigfoot's two losses to Cain Velasquez would typically mean he'd never get another shot, but in the heavyweight division anything's possible as the contender field is rather light. However, it's more likely for Hunt to get back in that mix if he can win a few fights in a row, because his loss was to Junior dos Santos in May and he can work his way in with a few wins in a row.
