UFC’s Anderson Silva nabs Hublot watch sponsorship
Former UFC middleweight champion Anderson has added to his list of big-name corporate sponsors with the luxury Swiss watchmaker Hublot. Basically, Hublot makes the most expensive watches in the world.
So, if you own one - congratulations. Hubolt is designing and producing just one hundred Anderson Silva branded custom watches that will reportedly cost around $30,000 each. Ten of those hundred watches will be made in gold.
Hublot has done similar deals with soccer legend Pele, track field star Usain Bolt, NBA star Kobe Bryant and rapper Jay-Z.

Hublot makes a watch that costs $5 million. Jay-Z's wife Beyonce reportedly bought one of those for her man. So there's that.
"The Spider" is already sponsored by Burger King and Nike and has become one of the few MMA fighters to garner so many mainstream corporate sponsors to date. Silva next fights the man who took his UFC title away from him - Chris Weidman - Dec. 28 at UFC 168.

Akira Corassani Posts X-Ray of Broken Nose From Illegal Knee
It took Maximo Blanco 25 whole seconds to break Akira Corassani’s nose Saturday at “The Ultimate Fighter 18 Finale.” Unfortunately for Blanco, his opponent was still grounded when he unleashed his knee into Corassani’s grill.
Corassani was clearly dazed and confused after eating the illegal strike, telling cage-side officials that he couldn’t see. And now we know why…
“Broke my nose in 5 places which was not as bad as the concussion from the knee,” Corassani posted on his Instagram account Sunday with the above pic. “The dizziness got worse gradually and I was rocked as hell. Truthfully I dont remember much but this was not the way I wanted to win, I was more than ready for this fight and due to a stupid move the fight was ruined. Thanks for all your support and I’ll be back soon!”
Blanco did a celebratory backflip after kneeing Corassani in the face, thinking the strike was a legitimate one. However, on replay it was clear Corassani’s knee was still touching the canvas when the shot landed.
Perhaps if Blanco could have waited a second later to unload the strike it would have been legal.
Instead, Corassani walked away with a disqualification victory And a broken nose…

UFC’s Jon Jones plans to retire by 30
Before UFC 167, light heavyweight champion Jon Jones told CBS Baltimore that he planned to retire by the age of 30. The 26 year-old fighter said that he believed he could fight on for longer than that, but has no intention to.
"I’m 26 right now. I think a man can be in his fighting prime until his mid 30′s. Saying that though I would like to retire by 30, so a few more years," Jones said.
More recently, Jones expanded on that announcement to MMA Junkie.
“I just want to leave the sport with a good head on my shoulders,” Jones said.
“I don’t want to be one of these guys that are taking fights way past their prime.”
Bones is wary of hanging around the sport too long and taking too much damage. He seems to be echoing welterweight champ Georges St. Pierre's more vaguely expressed concerns for himself.
“I want to leave my legacy in a healthy spot," Jones went on.
"I want my legacy to be respected and I just want to leave on top...There’s a lot of other business out there.”
If Jones manages to continue fighting in the UFC until he is 30, he will have competed in the organization for nearly a decade - a relative eternity in MMA. Jones said that he could retire today and be financially independent and comfortable.
In addition to his fight purses, Jones has endorsement deals with Nike and Gatorade, among others. Do you think Jones is thinking too far ahead or does the kid just have his head on straight in planning for retirement and his future?

A lightweight fight between Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone and Adriano Martins has been verbally agreed to for UFC on Fox 10 on Jan. 25, UFC officials announced on Saturday.
The Cerrone-Martins bout is added to the developing fight card, which will take place in Chicago at the city’s United Center.
Cerrone (21-6, 1 N.C.) is just a week out from finishing Evan Dunham at UFC 167 last weekend in Las Vegas. “Cowboy” slapped on a triangle choke to finish Dunham in the second round of their bout.
Martins (25-6) is relatively new to the UFC, but has over 3o professional fights to his credit. In his last fight, the Brazilian jiu-jitsu specialist showed off his best attributes by finishing Daron Cruickshank with a straight armbar in the second round of their UFC Fight Night 32 bout.
UFC on Fox 10 is headlined by a lightweight fight between former UFC champ Benson Henderson and former Strikeforce champ Josh Thomson.

Davey Grant Vs Chris Holdsworth The Ultimate Fighter Finale Preview (Video)
Bantamweights Davey Grant and Chris Holdsworth will step in the octagon tonight at The Ultimate Fighter 18 Finale to see who walks out with the six figure UFC contract and the title of The Ultimate Fighter. UFC’s Mauricio ‘Shogun’ Rua considering move to middleweight
Former Pride Grand Prix and UFC champion Mauricio 'Shogun' Rua is one of the most accomplished light heavyweights in MMA's young history and has another 205 pound contest scheduled against James Te Huna next month but he is still considering a drop down to middleweight. During a recent question and answer session with fans in his native Brazil, Rua said that he is open to moving down in weight, thought it would be a challenge.
“Maybe I can [drop down to middleweight] and maintain my performance,” he said.
“I would need to think about it, but that’s something that can happen.”

"Shogun" has lost two straight fights, to Chael Sonnen and Alexander Gustafsson, and is shorter than many top light heavyweights.
“I would have to do some medical exams to check if it’s possible," Rua explained.
"My normal weight is 228, 231 pounds...It might happen, but for now I have a fight scheduled."
The Brazilian's opponent for UFC Fight Night on Dec. 6, Te Huna, won four straight UFC fights before being submitted by top contender Glover Teixeira last May.
