Arlovski teased news Wednesday for his official site, but UFC president Dana White went ahead and spoiled it with an announcement welcoming him back on Twitter Thursday.

Welcome back Andrei Arlovski!

Arlovski (21-10) has won his last two and is 6-1 with one no-contest since a 2011 loss to Sergei Kharitonov in Strikeforce.

Back in 2005, Arlovski became the interim UFC heavyweight champion when he earned a submission victory over Tim Sylvia. He defended it once again in 2005, and it was determined at that time he was the undisputed champion.

Arlovski successfully stopped Paul Buentello in ’05 before dropping the belt to Sylvia in ’06 via first round TKO. The two had a rematch, also won by Sylvia. The veteran left the promotion in ’08 and signed with Affliction, knocking out Ben Rothwell.

In his career, Arlovski owns 15 knockout victories and three more via submission. Seven of his 10 career losses have come via stoppage.
