Two middleweights coming off losses are interested in hooking up inside the Octagon.
Brad Tavares sent a message to Michael Bisping on Twitter Monday in reference to the two possibly squaring off against one another.
Tavares (12-2) was handed a decision loss to Yoel Romero this past weekend at UFC on FOX 11. The defeat snapped a five-fight win streak for the fighter, all of which came via decision.
“Bisping we are both comin off a loss, u know I’m not going to take you down and hump u,” Tavares wrote. “But I will be there to take your head off lets do this.”
Bisping (24-6) returned from almost a year-long layoff due to an eye injury last Wednesday, falling to Tim Kennedy via decision. He is 2-3 in his last five fights overall.
“I want to FIGHT ASAP,” Bisping replied. “Speak to the bosses. I’ve never turned anyone down.”
In the latest official UFC rankings, Bisping is No. 8 overall and Tavares is 14th.
@BradTavares I want to FIGHT ASAP. Speak to the bosses. I've never turned anyone down.
