An injury to flyweight Darrell Montague has brought a change to UFC 171 this March.
The UFC announced the injury removal on Tuesday, and his originally scheduled opponent, Will Campuzano, will now take on Justin Scoggins on the card.
Campuzano returned to the UFC in November, losing a decision to Sergio Pettis. That was his first loss since dropping to 125 lbs., as he'd won five straight fights in the division since dropping down in 2011. He jumped up to 135 lbs. for that fight with Pettis, but is heading back down to where he'd had success recently for this event.
He'll take on the undefeated Scoggins, who made a successful UFC debut in December. He took out Richie Vaculik by TKO at UFC Fight Night 33, moving his record to 8-0.
UFC 171 takes place from Dallas, Texas, on March 15, headlined by the vacant Welterweight Championship fight between Johny Hendricks and Robbie Lawler.
This article originally stated mistakenly that Campuzano's loss to Pettis was at 125 lbs., but the fight happened at bantamweight. The error has been corrected.
