Ryan Couture gets second UFC shot, meets Quinn Mulhern at UFC 164 in Milwaukee

Randy Couture may still be persona non grata in the UFC at the moment, but his son's going to get another chance to make a first impression in the Octagon this August.

The UFC announced on Tuesday that Ryan Couture will return after his loss to Ross Pearson in April at UFC on Fuel 8 in Sweden, and he'll take on Quinn Mulhern at UFC 164 in Milwaukee. That loss to Pearson was just the second of his career, snapping a four fight winning streak in Strikeforce that was capped off by a slight upset over K.J. Noons in January.

He'll meet Mulhern, who is also looking for his first UFC win. Couture's fellow Strikeforce vet had won three straight in that organization, and had posted an 18-2 career record prior to his UFC debut in March, but he was stopped by Rick Story in the first round in that fight.

UFC 164 takes place from the Bradley Center in Milwaukee on Aug. 31, headlined by the UFC Lightweight Championship bout between Benson Henderson and T.J. Grant.
